The forms and documents you use tell customers, clients, suppliers and
others a great deal about your company. Yours should say that you're an
organized, efficient, cohesive organization.
Life isn't always simple. But your paperwork should help simplify and
clarify, rather than help complicate!

Your Documents and Forms Should
- Be consistent with your
other branding messages (letterhead, business cards, web site,
etc.)
- Be efficient to produce
- be printable on regular paper where appropriate or even be available
on your web site for customers to print out so that you don't
have to mail them.
- Be clear - make it obvious
what is to be filled out by whom, and where it should be filed.
- Be automated where it makes sense to do so. (So
that form results go directly to a database or other information
source.)
- Make appropriate use of
color. Use it only where the impact is needed or the information
conveyed by color justifies the printing cost.
